Lake George RV Park is located in Lake George, New York.   It covers an area of 120+ acres that provides the outdoorsy, camping feel to its visitors. The park has top notch amenities both in and outdoors throughout the RV site. From the RV site, you can easily access all that the Lake George area has to offer. Lake George itself was nicknamed the Queen of America Lakes, which is located along the Adirondack Mountains. The lake runs along the path between the valleys of the Hudson and St. Lawrence rivers between Albany, New York and Montreal, Quebec, Canada.  One of the nearest major cities is Albany, New York which is about 73 miles away from Lake George.

Lake George US RV Park is a total of 120+ acres.  The area is immersed among the

Adirondack Mountains, located at the most southeast point of the mountain range, but in the north east portion of New York.  The RV site has 400 RV sites, and 22 on-site RV rentals.  The park prides themselves in the variety of offerings they have to offer for family fun and bonding.  On site, as of 2018. Cascade Cove Aquatic Park became a huge attraction for all the campers. It has a swimming, pool, three spas, and an interactive spray ground for kids and families.

The warmest months in Lake George are from May-August. The average temperature during these months range between 75-80 degrees. Come September, it begins to cool off, approaching an average of 73. From October-April, Lake George RV Park will experience its coldest temperatures.  Lake George will begin to see plenty of snowfall and chilly temperatures beginning in December, where temperatures will get into the teens and 20's, even sometimes dipping below zero.

The RV park was established back in 1966 and has been rated in the top 1% off RV parks for the past 50 years. Natural Stone Bridge & Caves Park

Depending on the season, there are different self-guided trails to embark on.  During the summer months, walk the above-ground nature trail and check out some of the ancient Adirondack geology on display. During the winter, witness what it is like during the changing seasons and walk along the river. 

Wild Waters Outdoor Center

Depending on the time of year, you can find an epic wild water adventure. The center was established in 1983 and has been providing memorable experiences to all guests. The trained and friendly guides are trained and able to provide a safe ride since 1983. 


This ship served in the US Navy during the battle of Guadalcanal. This is the only remaining ship of the fleet. Now, a historical museum, where you can join in a guided tour after paying admission.

Great Escape & Splashwater Kingdom

Both are some of the more popular amusement parks in New York.  It is located only  two  miles from the Lake George RV Park.  There is an indoor water park, kids activities, games, 

Warren County Bikeway

The bikeway was the result of a branch of the Delaware & Hudson Railroad line that was constructed in 1882.  The path is a paved 9.4-mile multi-use trail for walking and running as well. The path begins in downtown Glen Falls and goes north into Lake George. The trail also intersects with local roads and provides a shoulder to safely ride. There are maps and several historical sites and signs along the way. 

Lake George Steamboat Company

There are several cruise options to discover the Southern Basin of Lake George. You can cruise for an hour or cruise for a few and enjoy a buffet.  These cruises will be running until the end of October and be sure to bring a jacket along. 

Hike up French Mountain

A historic mountain with an amazing view at the top. The hike itself will take an average of about two hours, with taking about one hour each way, but every step is worth soaking in the mountains, lakes, and islands of the surrounding area.

Adirondack Theatre Festival

The Adirondack Theatre Festival offers shows that will excite all personalities and ages. From virtual reality, holiday talent shows, and man hunt themes, there is something for everyone to watch and enjoy. 


Wine, dine, and book a tasting. After long, adventure filled days, the winery is the perfect place to stop and unwind.

When to go to Lake George RV Park

The time you go to Lake George RV Park depends on your weather preference.  During the summer months, the area is most crowded with plenty of outdoor activities for the family. The busiest times tend to be during the summer months. Lake George experiences a brutal winter, with temperatures dipping below zero in December and January. 

Must-Have Things to Bring to Lake George RV Park

Although Lake George RV Park has several fantastic facilities, it is best to come to any RV park fully prepared in all aspects. Being self-sufficient will add a sense of security and comfort to your trip. Be sure to check the website for all of Elk Meadows current COVID-19 protocols. 


Have plenty of water. List of Parks advises bringing a couple extra jugs than you normally would just to be safe. More is always better.


Preparing for travel calls for proper food and snack packing. Trail mixes, bars, and other easy packing snacks are great options. 

Kitchen Utensils

Bring everything you will use daily to cook at home if you decide not to use the food options within walking distance of the RV site. (Ex. Cups, mugs, plates, bowls, forks, spoons, paper towels, wipes, knives. etc.) 

Maps in Physical and on Phone

Being sure you know how to navigate throughout the surrounding areas. Another precaution to ensure your safety and enjoyment. 

Tool Kit

Things happen and it is best to be prepared with all the tool necessities. Bring Allen or hex wrenches. Bring duct tape. Bring scissors. Bring rubber bands and zip ties. Bring plenty of towels you can use as noise buffers. Prepare and anticipate. 

Proper Attire

Pack for the time of year you will be visiting but come prepared with waterproof gear always no matter what. Sunglasses, sunscreen and proper clothing for cooler night temperatures. A backpack meant for hiking will be a great idea if you plan on spending the full day on your feet.


With all the wildlife and vast landscapes to view, getting a zoom in view can always enhance the experience.

Extra Fuel/Oils

Bringing a tank of gas and extra motor oil and transmission fluid will ensure that in case of an emergency, you will be set to get to the next best location. 


Bringing your own toilet paper and everything to make you comfortable using the RV toilet for your trip. This is important.

Lake George RV Park Site Details

There are 300 full-service RV sites that can accommodate the biggest RVs. The RV park was designed to be a place for families to bond and have fun and Lake George RV Park has been ranked in the top 1% of all RV parks for their site attractions, offerings, and amenities.  There is an indoor heated pool, 2 indoor movie theaters, 3 acres off-leash dog park wash station, 6 pickleball courts, 4 tennis, 2 basketball courts, and live entertainment. The rates for the park sites include 2 people and an additional $10.00/night for every person above that. Ages 12 and younger are free and there is a max of 8 people per site. There are no tent sites on this campground.  If you are looking to visit during the Holidays, book as early as possible as the RV site fills up quickly.

Food Nearby Lake George RV Park

Great food on a road trip is a must. There are several well-known restaurants that are in close distance from the RV park. The top three favorite local restaurants are Adirondack pub & brewery, Christie’s on the lake, Pablo’s Burrito Cantina, and Davidson Brothers. There is also an ALDI,  Hannaford Supermarket, and Price Rite within a few miles of the RV park for all other food and grocery needs.

Airports Near Lake George RV Park

The closest international airport to Lake George, is Albany (ALB). Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport is a smaller airport that is 7 miles from Lake George RV Park.
