Timberland Acres US RV park is 35 acres with big, open areas for each of their 200 RV sites surrounded by the refreshing, wooded land. It is owned by a couple, Colton and Morgan Sanborn, who have created the most friendly and welcoming atmosphere for their visitors. The location is just 14 miles away from the famous Acadia National Park attracts adventurers from all over, who love being immersed in the vast, wide-open spaces of nature. One of the larger cities in Maine, Augusta, is located 70 miles from the RV site. Boston, Massachusetts is 196 miles away. The town of Trenton, Maine is located on the last point of the mainland before entering Mount Desert Island. This is why they call it the “Gateway to Acadia”.

Those who have traveled this far north know that the winters in the Northernmost tip of the US are very cold and very snowy. It’s important to keep in mind that traveling in an RV in heavy snow will require more preparation. The summer months are typically the most popular time to visit. The busier season begins in June and then goes through August. The average temperature during these months can range from 70-85 degrees. Starting in January, the cold and the snow take over. There can be an average of 19.1 inches during the month, but 6 months out of the year will have significant snowfall.

The Trenton Bridge
This bridge is also known as the Mt. Desert Bridge. Aside from the beautiful scenery surrounding the bridge, there is some history to it too. There is a famous plaque on the bridge that is dedicated to the soldiers, sailors, and marine of Hancock County dating back to 1920.
Acadia National Park
Acadia National Park is ranked in the top 10 most-visited National Parks in the US. The mark includes popular areas such as Mount Desert Island, the Schoodic, and Bar Harbor. Acadia is a place to come back to multiple days during your stay with the 158 miles of hiking trails, 45 miles of carriage roads, and 27 miles of historic motor roads.

We love treats! In 1975, Maine’s Own Treats began in 1975 when the original owner, K. Weymouth Howard, Jr. began making his family’s old recipes of jams. Becoming well known throughout the town and passing visitors, the demand grew, which resulted in the creation of the business. Now, Maine’s Own Treats is located on Bar Harbor Road over 30 acres. The business has kept the old-fashioned way of making jams alive.

Timberland Acres welcomes all groups, caravans, and clubs to their site, with seasonal sites being available for longer-term stays. There are 50 AMP 100’ pull-thru sites to fit any sized rig. The park offers a propane filling station, laundry facilities, and free Wi-Fi at your site. For on-site fun, you can find a playground, shuffleboard, cornhole, swimming pool, and more throughout the park. During special holidays, there is always a fun, themed children’s activity planned.
